I'm moving this post back here because it got no attention in the iPod section. Plus I think this is a bug (or undocumented feature) in 16. There is no logical reason for MC to import the same files it wrote to the ipod.
V16.0.87
Exported several files to the iPod (APE to MP3 conversion).
Ejected iPod
Plugged iPod back in and MC recognized the device and began IMPORTING the MP3s I just exported to it!
Now I have duplicate files in MC. One APE and one MP3 in the same folder
Is this a bug? Is it a "feature" I can disable? It's making a mess of my library and I can't connect my iPod again until I can disable the importing.

But what would that have to do with the problem? Aren't the cached files there just to speed up the next WRITE to the device when the same file is chosen for sync? Inquiring minds want to know. ;D
