I use MC16 as a homeserver in my living-room without a permanent monitor. Instead, I connect to the server via team viewer or splashtop (ipad). Meanwhile, the synchronisation of tagged tracks really works quite nice. Also burning CD's works nice.
What I still miss are the options to configure settings remotely:
- storing view settings permanently
- copy/move files
- Assign cover art (=> gets lost)
- change theater view settings
Possible or not?

This answer could also replace the need for a library server.
My question is about adding some capabilities to the remote clients which would facilitate remote control of MC.
At present, I would say the behaviour of MC is inconsequent. It lets me change views, theater view options and so on but they're gone when reconnecting. Either, I should not even be able to change any of these settings (disable them) or they apply to the server's settings - my preferred option.

Bump
Nobody interested in being able to change theater view or pane view settings remotely?

I still don't understand why you dismissed my recommendation of a VNC server/client.
It was made explicitly for this purpose.
It also doesn't replace the need for a library server so I don't know what you meant by that comment.
