Title: MC 16 Crash On 64 Bit Windows 7 System [Solved]
Post by: Wirelessness on June 11, 2011, 09:59:25 pm
My 64 Bit Windows 7 system has a consistent problem running MC 16 for more than 5-7 minutes at a time.  It will always start but will suddenly stop during playback or while idle with "Media Center 16 Has Stopped Working" error at which point the software has to be closed and restarted.  Obviously it leaves the software unusable.

It has happened with all released MC 16 versions and after removing/reinstalling the software (not the libraries).  It occurs with all media in or out of any given library.

Has anyone else experienced this problem or know of a solution?  More information upon request of course.

Thanks in advance.

Try reinstalling your license.  See the Purchase link above.

Thank you all for replying.

JIMH - I'm unclear on how to reinstall the license without uninstalling the software.  Is there another way/did I miss is under the Purchase FAQs?

Apologies in advance for missing this one.  I have a feeling this may solve the problem.

Thank you.

I was able to fix the problem by uninstalling it (not the libraries), running a registry cleaner and then reinstalling it to a different directory that it was in originally.

It just upgraded automatically to MC 16.111 with my licence and all is running well so far.

Thank you,
