Title: Album Art Embedded Only?

I just installed MC16 and am really impressed. :)

One question I can't seem to resolve.

Must I embed my album art into my music files to get them to show up in MC?
I have a folder.jpg file in each of my album folders. I do not have any of them embedded, and would like to keep it that way.

Is there an option to just point MC to that folder.jpg?

Welcome.

No.  You don't need to embed art in the file.  Folder.jpg is supported.

What file types do you have for music and for art?

It might take a while for thumbnails to build.  Find a few and wait a minute to see if that's the problem.

Also, there is Options->File Location->Cover Art where you can specify the location of cover art.  Sounds like you want "In the same folder as the file (as Folder.jpg)".

This next Q should probably be in it's own thread, but since you just posted: ;)

I use WMC as my front end (TV, Media Browser for Movies, Picture Library) & my wife & kids are trained to use it that way.

BUT, I'm going to use MC16 for Music only and take advantange of your WASAPI plug-in  ;D

Can you direct me to a link of where in the WIKI I can successfully integrate this.
I use a Harmony 900 and it works great.
I would want to use it to control MC16 (setting a new activity) and close out WMC & still do everything from the remote.

I'm very impressed with your Music player in MC16.
