Bug: Volume control doesn't work with USB audio
OS: Windows 2000
Audio device: Stereo-Link 1200
MJ Version: 8.0 final
Also I would like to suggest two things to MINI-ME interfaces that would definitely improve usability:
-Minimize button! (Is it just me, or why can't I see them)
-Eject button! (For opening files. Current method includes one unnecessary click)

Re: the minimize buttons in Mimi-Me
I guess it depends on the skin. I like unintrusive skins and I use the excellent LowerLeft by Zrocker and it has the minimize button, altough I do not use it often since the skin is so well designed to stay out of the way
Not sure about you issue with Eject? QuickPlay seems a very effective way of selecting music outside your playlist, if you really want to do it while in MiniMe mode

FYI,
The volume control doesn't work for me in Win2K either.
Works fine in Win98 (using different sound cards, though)
Cheers
(and thanks for all the hard work, guys)

Does the volume control work with other applications? I had a similar problem with my SL1200 in XP, but it was a fault of Microsoft's and it has been patched. I'm not sure if such a patch exists for Windows 2000.

Reinstalling the sound card driver will usually fix these problems, but I'm not sure about USB sound cards.

I've re-installed my USB audio driver several times. No help.
Depending on which device is the "preferred device" and how the playback options are set in MJ, I either don't get a volume slider or I get a volume slider but it controls my laptop's onboard sound device even while MJ is actually playing through the USB device. I can't find any combination of settings that will allow MJ to control the USB device's volume.
Not a major deal since the windows volume control still works.

Try setting your USB device as the preferred device within Windows... then have MJ use the wave mapper.
