Hi,
I'm using Total media Theatre 5 to read DVD and Blu-ray disc.
I would like to know if it's possible to use TMT5 video decoder, for example, to read Blu-Ray disc or DVD in JRiver media center 16.
Many thanks in advance for your reply.

Maybe. Please try it and let us know. I think it uses the arcsoft reader so that should work.

Arcsoft's TMT5 video decoder doesn't appear in video decoder list on MC16 when I choose Red October with additional Filter and I don't know how to use TMT 5 video decoder in JRiver Media center 16?
Is there any way to do that?

I don't believe that Arcsoft allows other programs to use their reading / video filters.
If you want Blu-ray in Media Center, this thread might help:

Very bad news. :(

No problem I know this solution but I've to buy DVDfab Passkey or AnyDVD HD.
I get some Blu-Ray Disks that work with this solution and DVDfab Passkey lite but not all of them (my trial period have expired with Passkey full version).
In fact I prefer the sound in MC that is better than in TMT5.
It would be very interesting for me to use Arcsoft's video decoder with MC audio.

Well I've registered the Arcsoft's video decoder and now I can see it in "Other Filters" when I choose "JRiver video engine (using DirectShow filters) as playback method and LAV Splitter as Source filter.
I can configure the Arcsoft video decoder without problem but I'm unable to read blu-ray disk. I get the following message:
"Media Centre encountered errors while trying to play last several files. Please make sure that the path in your
media library points to the right location."
The same message I obtain when I try to read a BD without Passkey or AnyDVD HD. :(
-
The Arcsoft filters you have added don't do the decryption. You will still need the likes of AnyDVD HD.
-
OK I thought it could work without AnyDVD HD or DVDFab passkey because i don't need them in Total Media Theatre but presume that TMT has his own key decoder.
I've tried to find a source filter in TMT5 but I don't know if such a file exists in TMT.
Well I will continue to run TMT5 to read BD as I pay for it and I do not want to pay for AnyDVD HD or DVDfab Passkey for the moment.
Thanks for all your answers.

Yup the decoding is all done by TMT itself not the filters that it uses and this code is "highly protected" to prevent it being used, sniffed or reverse compiled.
-
Well, well... ;)
Anyway the main use of JRiver media center is for audio on my system (audiophile use with Wyred 4 Sound DAC2 via USB entry) on a High end stereo system.
LAV audio filter with MC16 in WASAPI Event style output mode sounds better than TMT5 audio output. It offers more definition and bass impact than TMT5 in 2.0.

There is a bdmvnavfilter.ax in there though.
Oh to be able to register this and use it for full menu navigation for bluray. (in the same way as the Microsoft DVD navigator) ;D
I wonder if nev can do it?
