Hi All!
I have J River MC 16 setup to output to my Wyred-4-Sound DAC2 with WASAPI-Event Mode - fantastic!
I have the Volume control set for "internal" so Plugplayer can alter the volume - all good.
But...
I want to play this windows .asx stream: http://www.abc.net.au/res/streaming/audio/windows/dig_music.asx
I can only get it to work with setting J River to use the Windows Media player engine.
If I do this, though, I can't use the volume control without manually changing it to System Volume - which then means I can't control the Volume internally if I switch to a J River played file Ahhhh!!!!!
So....
Can anyone suggest a way to play the .asx stream using the J River MC engine and a DirectShow filter.
I have spent 2 hours trying to find what would be required without success!
Any help much appreciated.

Here's the address you need
mms://a1394.l11289737393.c112897.a.lm.akamaistream.net/D/1394/112897/v0001/reflector:37393
Remember - .asx are literally just a container used to try and hide the actual play URL.
Open the file in Windows Media Player
Right Click > Show List
On the item Right Click > Properties
You can then save it in MC.

FYI, Here's the one for ABC Jazz

Enjoy ;)
And if you're with BigPond and want their IPTV stream URLs as well, let me know ;D

Support for ABC Jazz (and other similar ASX stations) will be added in Media Center 16.0.115 and later.
Thanks.

Should be fixed in Build 115 (http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=64786.msg434118#msg434118) or higher.

Hi guys,
Have upgraded to version 115...
In Options, I reverted the settings in the file association for .asx back to "Automatic" (ie not Windows engine)
Unfortunately it doesn't work...
Error message:
Windows Media Error:
Unknown error (0xc00d0026)
Not sure what else to do...
Cheers,
EO
