Title: Programming on an 11.6" Notebook...
Post by: danrien on June 28, 2011, 07:43:38 am
Hey all,

I'm looking at an HP dm1z 11.6" Net/Notebook (http://www.shopping.hp.com/series/category/notebooks/dm1z_series/3/computer_store?jumpid=in_r329_personalization/browse1/home_SDP), and I was wondering if anybody has experience developing on these or any other laptop with an 11.6" screen?  I like to code in my lazy boy (coz I'm a super huge nerd i.e. I also have a can of coke and a bag of chips near by), and these dm1z's seem like great little laptops, however, I'm not sure about the screen size.  I'm still young, so I got my eyesight, but I'm just wondering if I'll still be straining my eyes too much.

Any experience/input fellow coders?

-David

I think the only "problem" you'll have is you'll be scrolling more vertically. I find myself scrolling more even on my 15" laptop than a desktop monitor. It will all depend on how much that bothers you.
