We Call This Wet Meat

My Wife's Mother Showed Her How To Make This When She Was A Kid, And Her Mom Had No Money.

But Basically It Is Beef Gravy In Hamburger On Top Of Potatoes.

There Is More Meat On Our Version.

It Is Good Too.

This was one of the meals we regularly had when I was a kid. We called it Hamburger Gravy. I think we ate it because we had no money, but I loved it anyway.

Looks kind of like a Shepherds Pie here in oz... basically some pastry (optional), beef in gravy and mash on top. Often served with peas over here...

Not As Complex As Shepherds Pie, But the flavor Is similar.

Funny thing is my wife remembers Shepherds Pie from when she was a Kid and she hated it so much, i can't get her to let me cook it.

I think she just did not have a good Shepherds Pie.

BTW: I Made 5 Bean Chili Yesterday, Today Is Left Overs.
