Title: control using HTTP or TCP commands?
Post by: Kremlar on July 03, 2011, 07:11:29 am
Currently running an older version of JRiver Media Center here which is working well for me.  However, I'm looking to control JRiver through an ISY home automation controller I have.  I want to be able to send basic commands to JRiver, such as ZONE 3 NEXT TRACK, etc....

My automation controller allows sending commands using HTTP, TCP, etc...  Is this possible with JRiver?  If so, can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

I ended up getting this working great. I'm using a combination of RS-232 commands to my Russound and REST commands to my server running JRiver Media Center, all sent by my ISY. I now have an X10 PalmPad remote controlling the audio out on my patio.

Thanks for the help!
