Title: Bug/feature request - Output format messes up when changing soundcard
Post by: flac.rules on July 05, 2011, 11:04:46 am
I have two possible ways to output sound at one of my machine, either SPDIF, or a usb soundcard. With SPDIF, I upsample to 5.1. I have output sound as "system default".

First the bug: If i upsample to 5.1, and change the default sound device in windows to the usb-soundcard (which is two-channel), two things happen, output is set to 2.0 (expected i guess), but MC also immediately freezes on playing a file.

Secondly the feature request: Is it possible to have output-format set depending on soundcard?

Create two zones, and use one for each device.

Create two zones, and use one for each device.

Of course, now i feel very stupid  :-[

However the bug should be fixed if it happens for everyone, not just me.
