Title: MC16 will NOT install

Am I the ONLY person having this problem? Regardless whether I install from MC15 (the lovely upgrade pop-up), or from a clean version downloaded via this forum, my machine locks up half way through, and I have to reboot. I have installed 6 other players (just to see if the machine will install an alternate player), and then uninstalled. MC16 is the only one.
I am running a VISTA machine with AMD Opteron 185 and 4 GB of memory with a 1 TB HDD.
Let me know if you have any suggestions...

I wonder if a firewall is causing problems.

Try running as administrator.  In Explorer, right click on the download to begin.
