Hello,
I just install my brand new Music Streamer II+ for my PC laptop. The setup is:
• Windows 7
• Music Streamer II+ (firmware seems to be 1.5)
• iTunes 10.3.1 and Media Center 16.0.121 as main players.
First remark, during the first connection, the USB link was broken and I get a message saying that “driver was not properly installed” …
Second remark, using MS II+ with iTunes is OK.
The problem occurs with MC 16: I cannot adjust the level using the MC cursor or the W7 cursor. The sound is very, very loud and cannot be muted. The output setup in MC is as follow:
• WASAPI Event style
• Exclusive mode selected
• Resampling @ 96Hz/24bits for all sources.
Any advices for my problem?

Update :
+ I have desinstalled and reinstalled the USB DAC : no more problem about drivers now accoring to W7.
+ I have made some test using Direct Sound audio output and it's OK but if I come back to WASAPI, the problem is still here ...

Try these links on our wiki:

http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Audio_Setup
Try both WASAPI modes.
There are several volume options.

Jim,
Thanks for the links but I know already this and I have made some deep investigations about audio output mode and resampling with my previous external DAC, an Audinst HUD-MX1.

If the hardware doesn't support a system volume, you can use 'Internal Volume' in Media Center.

Matt,
You are right : I switched volume control from "System Volume" to "Internal Volume" and it looks like the problem is solved. Do you have some more detailed information about the difference between internal, application and system volume?
