Just bought a new Win7 32 bit laptop and I have installed MC16 126 on it. MC is running fine but I can't get our server library accessed by the laptop. On the new client laptop I go to "add Library". I have the same problem by either putting in the "Access Key" or 192.168.1.103:52199 for the server: It brings up a 'Password Window' asking for the "Credentials for the URL. It wants both a username and a password.
I have tried all of my usual usernames and passwords and nothing works. I have a password to log onto the WHS but I don't recall anything of a Username. The Password window is black outlined like an MC16 window, not blue like a Windows window.
I have a Win7 desktop that I've been using as an HTPC Client. I recall having some difficulties setting it up but nothing like I am having now. On the laptop I have joined a Homegroup and have networking set up so that I can access files on the server in Windows Explorer.
Does anyone know if there is some way that I can find out what the username and password might be on the server? Since it is asking for the "Credentials for" the URL it seems that it is looking for them for the server and not for MC.
Any suggestions would sure be appreciated. Most frustrating when I can't access stuff on my own computers!
Thanks,
Rod

On the server, in Tools/Options/Media Network, enter any login and password.
Then use these on the client.

Jim - Do you mean to enter the login in Tools on the Server or the Client?
Thanks so much for the prompt response!

Sorry. I corrected it above.

That did it!
I must have done the same thing on the other client and forgotten.
Thanks again a bunch, especially on a summer Sunday!
