Title: 0 Duration on mkv files
Post by: park on July 11, 2011, 11:10:28 pm
MC doesn't seem to be able to see the duration for any of my mkv files. I convert my dvds to mkvs using Handbrake on the mac. I wonder if the problem is on that side or on MC's side? Anybody else having the same problem, or have any advice about how I can make better mkv files?

Most my .mkv 1080P movies files are downloaded but yes every once in awhile, MC16 won't show the duration of a couple of my newly imported movies.

I do make sure that I am always running the latest version of MC16 and now I don't have the problem anymore but I am still showing 2 movies out of 150 that don't have duration time on them.

You did select them and do an "Update library from tags", right?

Yes, there was a bug for a while there where it wasn't very good at pulling info out of MKV files, so for anything already ingested, you'll have to do this to get the info filled in.

Most of my recently-imported MKVs seem to be showing durations currently, but I didn't do an exhaustive audit, and I did see a handful that were missing the data when I looked briefly last night.
