Currently RO installs filters and renderers only for use within MC. I would love to have the option for MC to install them for general use on our PCs too, so that they could be used in other directshow players like MPC-HC. We'd have the option to update these when MC updates its filters too.
Currently, I use MC almost exclusively for video, but always fall back to MPC-HC for testing when something isn't right. Unfortunately, the testing can't be as thorough since the filter sets are not synched between the merit based system version and RO - sometimes, as in the case of MadVR for me - it's not even installed in the system itself.
Your thoughts?
[EDIT] My idea is merely for the filters to be installed and registered, not to be configured for use in other players of course - just to be available.
