Will the touch screen function in MC work with this monitor?

There are many people here using MC with touch screens, but I don't think MC supports multi touch...

I have the previous Dell multi-touch screen and use it with MC. It works adequately, but it could be better with multi-touch support etc. Continuous two-finger scrolling in theater view (even standard view) would be most welcome. The "flick" is kind of hit-or-miss for finer scrolling.
Zooming in and out by 'pinching' would be nice too.
MC16 has introduced a ton of new stuff, so I'm going to wait patiently for such cosmetic additions.

Hmm, so the touch-commands are sent over hdmi then? Or do you have to connect with usb or something in addition?
-
The only experience I have with touch screens is that touch interface is handled by USB, but this is an old monitor so things may have changed.

No this is correct, you need both a video signal - VGA, DVI, HDMI etc. and a USB connection (and associated drivers etc.)
