Title: RO HQ with new LAC CUVID no subtitles
Post by: tls62dk on July 13, 2011, 02:45:36 pm
The new addition of the LAV CUVID video decoder is working very well on my ASRock Vision 3D and Windows 7 64bit. But I have lost my subtitles with update 16.0.128.

The following filters are loaded:

MadVR
LAV CUVID
LAV Audio Decoder
JRiver Video Monitor
JRiver Audio Monitor
LAV Source splitter

Shouldn't DirectVobSub also be loaded for subtitles? I do not have any external filters installed, so I have not been able to test RO HQ with additional filters to see if that will solve it.

Is anybody else seeing the same thing?

Did you try setting them on with the On Screen Display?  Use the arrow keys to get there.  Up or Down to find the feature, left and right to set it.

Yes, I did. It has the correct subtitle selected in the menu. Changing to first auto, none and back to danish didn't change anything either.

I forgot to write that the video files are Blu-Ray ISO files.

It's a limitation of RO HQ + LAV CUVID.

A solution is in the works, but could be a couple weeks away.

In the meantime, you could add ffdshow raw manually for subtitle handling.

Thanks! Sounds good.

I will try that. I have no problem with using RO Standard for a couple of weeks if I cannot get it to work with ffdshow raw.

You guys have raised this program to heights I wouldn't dare dream of 6 months ago. Thank you for going down this road!
