I would like to use JRiver v16 on my laptop to control my PS Audio Perfect Wave DAC (PWD) via the PS Audio PWD Bridge. The PWD Bridge is UPnP and DLNA. I have plugged an ethernet cable into the Bridge and my wireless router. What do I need to do to get JRiver to control the PWD?

Start by enabling DLNA on MC16. See:
http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/DLNA
Instructions are a bit dated, but go to Options > Media Network and enable the "Use Media Network to share this library and enable DLNA".
There are additional options under Advanced, and also under "Add or configure DLNA servers...".
On in particular to note is how media is to be streamed: converted to a lossy format with reduced bitrate or uncompressed. Configure accordingly.
The other options are generally for Library Server, which is for MC server < -- > MC client operations (not DLNA).

I also use a PS Audio PWD via Bridge. The library is on a PC (MC server) and I use a laptop via Wi-Fi (MC client) to control the music. The bridge is connected to the router.
It all works fine except for a 6 seconds gap between tracks. I contacted this forum to report the problem and the suggested solutions did not work. It's very annoying while listening to classical music where tracks should be heard without a gap.
Please let me know if you managed to get rid of this gap. PSAudio point to JRiver.
Thanks,

The gap problem is a PSA thing. :P Change the Bridge firmware to 0.2.8 for shorter (2 second)gaps. Alternately you can join your gapless tracks when ripping. iTunes has this capabilty. PSA is working on gapless through the Bridge. More info at the PSA forums.
