Hi,
I purchased MediaJukebox7 as indicated below. I had a major system crash and my 10 year old son used my rrg backup disk for his school homework. I do not have access to my rrg file. Where do I go from here?

Thank you for your purchase.
You may want to print and save this receipt for your records.
Thank you for your purchase. Your software is now unlocked.
A backup copy of the license should be made to floppy
disk since it can be used to upgrade a downloaded
version in the event of a disk crash. This backup contains
personal information, including credit card, so it
should not be shared. License Backup and License Recovery
are both under Help in the program.

Make sure your son's dog doesn't eat his homework.

Thanks Scronch, as if I needed that.

I do know that JRiver implemented a purchase procedure where you could retrieve your license from their server. Not sure if your purchase date falls within the right window. I know they are working through a few issues with the new process. JimH or someone else at JRiver will hopefully reply tomorrow with the full answer. You may want to search around in Interact for the thread(s) that discuss the new procedure.

Version 8.0 License/Purchase FAQ

We have a new page that should answer your questions about purchasing version 8.
It's here (but not completely finished):

[Version 7 users, please check this FAQ: http://www.musicex.com/mediajukebox/buy_faq.html ]
Two changes resulted from the discussion this weekend.
Restores are now six per year.
Multiple machines in your house can use the same install key if you install on them in the first two weeks after purchase or restore. After that, you'll need to use one of your restores.
I would like to emphasize the fact that, though we want to be paid, we also want you, as a group, to be more than satisfied. We're trying to be more than fair, but if it turns out that we've done something stupid, we'll try to admit it and change.
We're done changing for now. This is it.

Hi Scronch,
Thanks for the help. I tried those already and must be outside the window for my account to be in the new database. I will wait and see what they tell me tomorrow.
