Is there a way to have the audio of movies processed by the DSP as set for the audio playback?
"Options\Video\Advanced\Audio playback device" is set to "Same as device used in audio playback" but movies still bypass all DSP Studio processing.

The ability to use the audio engine is one of the core feature (and big advantages in my opinion) of video playback with Media Center.
This happens by default.
Make sure you have 'Same as device used in audio playback' selected for the zone you're using.
Also, be sure to disable bitstreaming since it bypasses any audio processing. More on that here: http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Audio_Connection_Type

matt,
thanks but i only have one zone and i'm not using bitstreaming.
i've just found out that windows can provide volume leveling at system level; since that's all DSP i need so far, i can turn DSP off in MC.
still it would be nice to understand why it's not working as it should.
