"Changed: When a file type that's normally a video has its media type set to audio (normally because it doesn't contain a video stream), it will be played with the audio engine instead of playing as a video with no display."
I have an .mp4 audio file that played fine in the previous release, but as a video with no display... but now I can't play it at all. There's an error message saying "You may not have installed on your computer DiectShow filters for decoding the type of file you are trying to play. Please install appropriate filters and try again."

Make sure you have 'Automatic' selected for all file types in Options > File Types.

I have... every single one.

I have... every single one.
Could you email a sample file to matt at jriver dot com?
I'll follow-up early next week once I get a chance to run in the debugger.
Thanks.

Done.

Done.
I can't reproduce the problem. The file you emailed plays with the native MP4 audio plugin in Media Center.
Could you do Update Library from Tags on the files? Make sure 'Media Type' is set to Audio.
You could also uninstall / reinstall, and check Plug-in Manager to make sure the native MP4 plugin is installed.

Updating library from tags took about 5 minutes for that one file... but it now plays as it should.
Thanks and sorry for the bother. :-*
