how fast is your computer?

and what OS are you using.

with slower computers when the computer goes to do other things it may be more noticable.

This may be even more noticable with a larger file listing. not sure why and i do notice it my self in mj but if i make my file list smaller i do not notice it as much.

looks like your about the same as me, i might have more files however, and a bit more ram.

how many files do you have, and if you close all your programs running in the notification area and the taskbar does it still freeze on you?

>> What is Aspi and do I should/need to install it?
it basicly is used to talk to devices like cd-r\w drives, and is required for the goldenhawk drivers MJ uses to burn cd-roms. (your fine the way you have it)

do you have MJ Slideshow installed? there was a problem with the screen updating and also freezes.

if you do maybe uninstall it thru the plugin manager, and then reinstall the new version. even if you have the new version you might want to delete it and then install it. i am not sure if you install the slideshow plugin over an older version plugin if all will be updated. since it is sort of beta it might be a good idea.

Installing slide show over an old one will work.

Try reinstalling MJ.

I don't have slideshow, But I would like to know what it does.

Please be so kind and tell me Next Page

And I think I'll format my HDD and install everything.

Sometimes (usualy) I just don't have the energy to find the problem and fix it, so I just "cut" it.

Oh, The bugs thing is great!

Made me laugh for fue minuts.

well it is kind of neat, i did not think it would be but i was not really aware of what it did at that time.

but what it does is it will go search the internet and display pictures of lets say the artist. so it will show more than just cover art.

now it is not perfict, but it tries it's best.

there maybe some bugs in it, most of them it did have looks like they are fixed.

Do you have the Media Scheduler "reclaim file types" option on? When I had this set to "1 minute", every minute the active explorer window would refresh and I would lose whatever file selection I had made. Having changed it out to an hour, it's MUCH less annoying!

FINALLY!  I have been scratching my head for months trying to figure out what was refreshing my desktop every 60 seconds.

I have now set Media scheduler to reclaim file types every 60 mins, and the screen flashing is much less annoying now.

We're going to raise the minimum time to 10 minutes and see if we can stop the refresh.  Sorry for the problem and thanks for bringing it up.
