Hi,
During audio playback is it possible to have the screen go blank? My wife finds the pictures on our TV screen very distracting when we sit down to 'listen' to some music and have a chat and a glass of wine. Ideally I want to be able to start a playlist or an album and then have the screen blank after, say, 10-20 seconds. I would want it to come back again when I press a key so that I can see what the track is or to make some sort of change. All the plug-ins seem to be doing the exact opposite of what I want - i.e. they give lots of extra information or animations.
Obviously I don't want the plug in to do the same when I'm playing back a video!
If there is no way maybe it would be a simple plug-in for one of the developers out there ;)
Thanks,
Martin.

Maybe enable the screen saver with a 1 minute timeout, and use Theater View. Options > Theater View lets you specify whether it will allow the system screensaver.

Or leave the monitor off and use Gizmo to control playback.

The screensaver option would kick in during video playback??
I play this back through my TV so I can't turn the 'monitor' off because it also has the audio output to my amp from it.
Thanks for these suggestions. Any more??

Usually audio is routed this way:
PC > Receiver / Amp
and video is routed this way:
PC > Receiver / Amp
But it sounds like you're routing this way:
PC > > TV > Receiver / Amp
Is there a reason you can't do otherwise?

Video playback in Display View disables the screen saver.

I've tried that out and the screensaver is indeed disabled when playing a video! Works a treat.
Thanks folks!
