Hey,
Thanks for the Mediacenter. I have used it almost every day the
last year. I have ripped all (pyhhhh...) my CD`s to lossless flac, and enjoy it very much :-)
Now trying something new:
When I play ripped SACD - ISO - dff files, they only play about 5-10 sec. then MC (latest)
rebuffering - and then again play new 5-10 sec wonderfull sound.
Can I do something anywhere?
The SACD ISO is converted to DST files with Scarletbook.

If it's stopping to buffer, it probably means something isn't fast enough.
Try selecting a lower sample rate in DSP Studio > Output Format.
Also, try increasing pre-buffering in Options > Audio.
Finally, try putting the dff files on a local drive in case the network is too slow.

Hey again, and thanks for the reply :D
It dosn`t stop buffering. It buffer to 100% and play 5-10 sec. Buffering to 100% and play again for 5-10sec. And so on to the song is over.
It`s the same if I lower sample rate, play locale or increase buffer - no change at all.
Normaly there is no problem in 24bit/96Khz PCM Hirez.
Can I post my dff file somewhere so you can test?
Cheers

If you will post it, we could try it, but it won't be until next week.

Thanks, where to upload?

hi there,
i tested dff playback and i can reproduce this buffer thing. in my case it only comes up when i play multichannel-dff and only when i want to resample in 48000 and 96000. in 44100 and 88200 it is ok. so i think the resample-algorythm is to slow when it should resample from a 44100-multiple to a 48000-multiple. just my opinion...
mfg
and thanks for this great product....

The files are extract as DST stereo files via Scarletbook r272 program.
My Hegel HD2 DAC can normaly handle 24Bit/96Khz, so I run this in DSP & output format.
Could it be a slow DAC problem?

I think its just a cpu-problem. when i look at the buffering-phase then a 96k resampling takes much more time then a 88k. and its quiet the same like watching a youtube-video with a slow internet connection. but in this case the cpu cant perform the conversion in the playing time. in my case i have a 3 ghz quadcore. and so i thing i scratched the border and my only problems are the multichannel files with bitrates greater then 10MBit. foobar works just fine. 96k is my prefered SR too, so i play the *.isos with foobar and wait for the next update.

Thanks for the explanation :-)
My CPU has less power than yours, so this must be my problem.

Hey,
I have a Intel Atom CPU 330 / 4GB RAM
In 24/96 my cpu used about 20-25%, and in 24/41.1 about 10-15%.
The RAM ussage looks fine
So it can`t be a CPU problem, ehh?
In 24/44.1 everything works fine :-)
