Hello,
I get an error message saying:
Playback Problem
? Something went wrong with playback
<OK> <Help>
Well, would be cool if there would be some kind of information WHAT went wrong... :)
Explanation of the situation:
I installed a Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2250 television tuner card in a Windows 7 64-bit media server
It showed correctly both tuners and both video grabbers in Media Center 16.0.168
I scanned the cable channels, it found 79 ATSC channels correctly
After scanning the channels I got an APPCRASH
I restarted Media Center
All cable channels are there
I try to play one cable channel and I get the above mentioned error message
Could someone tell me what to do please?
thanks

Does this persist after restarting The PC,, not just MC)? Sometimes after a version update it appears necessary to restart the PC, but it's not always explicit. I've been seeing this occasionally. Another time I used to get this if I had checked "hardware accelerate video if possible" using RO standard... except it wasn't really possible using my hardware and the filters RO std likes to use.

thanks, fitbrit, it was the acceleration setting which triggered the strange message
appreciate your help :)
it works

Finally I get the same error message on a client computer (with or without hardware acceleration set)
Isn't it possible to watch TV on a client fed by the server?
thanks
