Title: Updates from remote machine (shared libraray) not updating main library.
Post by: BartMan01 on September 04, 2011, 01:01:12 pm
Maybe I am just missing a setting here.  My setup is as follows:

Primary library is in a Windows 7 x64 system running in VMWare Fusion (under OSX).  This is my main desktop system, so easier to maintain things in here as opposed to from a TV connected system from the couch.

I connect to this library from a system connected to my main TV using the shared library feature (through File > Library).

Issue is that changes don't seem to be updating the library.  If i watch a video, the count does not increment.  If I delete a video, the file does not delete.  It appears to happen but as soon as I close/restart MC on the remote machine everything is back to how it started.

What do I need to do so that stuff that happens in the remote connection to the library actually get written to the library?

Are you using a authenticated connection to the library server? IIRC if you don't authenticate you're in read-only mode.
