1. the tag option to show all tags with values doesnt seem to work. so far ive noticed the following tags do not appear in the tags window even if they have a value;
Peak Level
Intensity
BPM
Encoding Settings
i know these tags have values because the tag viewer in MC shows them as existing, as well if i force that tag to "also show" i can see its value (and remove it).
2a. is there a list of library fields to id3v2 tag mappings? (it would be more helpful if that information was visible from the the actual library field editing window though)
2b. is there a list of library fields to FLAC (vorbis?) tag mappings?
3a. FLAC files have an ALBUMARTIST tag as well as an ALBUM ARTIST tag? both always contain the same value and update from the Album Artist library field.
3b. MP3 files have a TPE2 tag as well as a TXXX (Album Artist) tag? why store it as the declared tag as well as a custom one?
4. any chance that the TIT3 (subtitle/remix) id3v2 tag will get a library field?

2. I do not think so. Is there any field in particular that you wonder about?
3. I think this is done for compatibility with other players. Be careful not to use other software than MC to change any album artist tag. With mp3 MC prefers TPE2 over the TXXX tag. I do not know the order of preference with flac files, but it would be easy to test.

sorry Vagskal if I drop in on this like that but I just posted a similar issue earlier today, can you help?

just going through cleaning up tags and trying to sort them out. in the end i found it easier to just remove them all and then let MC recreate them from its own "clean" data in the library

i thought it might be but wasnt sure.

i only use MC for tagging. the only other tagging is done by mp3gain (but i think that uses ape tags) when it volume levels the mp3 version of the flac files.
