You might find these two Oasis hits approachable:

Champagne Supernova
Wonderwall

I just ordered up some Django Reinhardt discs - how's that for dated?

Being a Manchester lad I feel a little overexposed to the Gallagher brothers. Their back catalogue sounds a little too formulaic to me nowadays. Slide Away remains my favourite track, the first album is certainly well worth a listen for its rawness alone.

United or City?

Slide Away is a great track.  I still love Live Forever and Supersonic.  The first two albums are tremendous although Morning Glory was a bit over played (by me).  There are gems after that but, man, you'd buy an album for one song.  Thank you mp3 downloads...

Of course I'm a born and bred blue. In fact, I've just got back from watching Silva perform his art at the Etihad Stadium, what a player.

Roll With It seemed a million miles from Cigarettes & Alcohol but you're right there's a bunch of great & good songs in there, even scattered amongst the more recent stuff.
