Hello. I am trying to start my JRiver Media Center and get the following error message: "Cannot access the specified drive, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access them." Not shure why this is happening. I have registered the product and paid. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers, Doug

Howdy,
Just a thought - was MC installed as an Admin user?
-
Hello and thank you for the reply. What does MC stand for? Cheers, Doug
-
Sorry, MC = Media Center. I was asking if you installed it as an Admin user, and not an unprivileged user.
-
I installed it like I would any other program. This has never happend to me before. The program worked fine for several weeks and all of a sudden I can't access it. Doug

Reboot.
Download the latest from our download page.
Reinstall.
If that doesn't work, think about what may have changed on your machine.
-
The only think changed in my system is that I hooked up a 3g wireless device. The computer in question is wired direct to the box and one other is connected through wireless.
-
Tried reloading the program and it still doesn't work.

Are you mapping drives between the 2 pcs?
-
"Cannot access the specified drive, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access them."
Did you install as portable? Does that portable drive exist?

I didn't intentionally map the drive but am not familiar with that process.

I installed it on my desktop PC but am not sure what a portable drive is.
