Title: my luck with .m4a and external decoders
Post by: remixedcat on September 12, 2011, 06:50:33 am
using the realmedia decoder in the following screenshot crashes media jukebox:

when playing any .m4a audio files.

However I can use the quicktime one fine, but it doesn't use the EQ settings.

I thought this this was Real wierd. (pun intended)

The DC-Bass Source splitter & decoder filter would probably work.

Here is a link to my instructions: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=59513.msg411870#msg411870

Media Center 16 has native M4A support.  You might give it a try.

waiting to get an SSD drive for the HTPC.... will strongly consider a purchase then.... but...

having car trouble made me broke ;-(

but I mostly just convert the files with dBPoweramp to .mp3 anyways so this isn't too much a big deal to me though ;-)

I just wanted to note this to others.....

Thanks for the replies people. ;-)
