Hi Guys,

Is there a problem with MKV with DTS-HD audio. as I seem to be  getting dropped frames.   I'm using  "Red October" HQ setting.

Try it using RO standard. Also make sure you're using WASAPI for audio if your system supports it. Do you have an nVidia card? RO HQ can be quite demanding on your system, so it may be dropping frames because it can't keep up. Can you try exclusive mode, if you are not already? Does that help?

Does WASAPI have an effect on audio quality when ran to the AVR? Or does that mode require specific audio hardware to utilize?

Thanks Fitbrit I will try RO standard tonight. I do use WASAPI and it is an NVidia card.

 specs are Intel Core 2 Duo CPU E7600 @ 3.06 3.07
Ram 2.00GB
Gigabyte EP35C DS3R Motherboard
Nvidia GForce 9500GT

Doesn't DTS-HD require the "arcsoft file" (something like arcsoftdtshdll.dll) to be copied to the LAV filters folder to have DTS-HD Master decoded?

Yes, but I know maid's setup and her receiver it isn't capable of sending the decoded stream (spdif)
