I am guessing that this is possible I just have not found the right combination of settings...

Does that not seem like a fairly "straight in the face" requirement...

I think this looks like a great app so far and am impressed but I have 800 or so albums to APE (800GB of RAID 5 to build as soon as the controller gets here) and pop in and rip would be very helpful...
