Title: Playlists - getting an album to appear in multiple playlists
Post by: WakeleyAB on September 25, 2011, 05:24:12 am
In MC16, can an album or individual track appear in two or more playlists at the same time? I have some tracks that are classical music (and would appear in that playlist), which would also appear in another playlist named religious music. However, when I have tried to do this, it just goes with whatever playlist I last entered.

A file can be in several playlists. You can add files to a playlist in many ways. For example:

- Select > Right Click > Send To > Playlist (existing or Create Playlist...)
- Drag and drop a selected file or files to a playlist in the tree
- Use the Build Playlist feature in Action Window: Action Window > Build Playlist (lets you give the new playlist a name and opens a "Drag and drop files here" area in Action Window).
- Use a smartlist that works automatically. To gather all "religious" files in a smartlist you can tag the files with the word "religious" (use one of the existing library fields or create a new user library field) and create a smartlist with a rule that makes it show only the files that have this tag.
