Title: Hardware setup for playing music in different rooms

I'm interested in starting using the zone feature in MC so I can play music in different rooms. But I would like to know what kind of hardware I would require. Do I need a PC in every room that is always switched on? Or are there other solutions?

A zone can be a set of speakers.  It can be a DLNA device, which includes MC running on a PC.  It can be two different playback streams on your PC.
