Title: Sync to usb stick - conversion options
Post by: Klaus_K on September 27, 2011, 05:13:07 am
Hi,

I have problems understanding the convert options when syncing playlists to my usb stick for use in the car. I have a playlist consisting of flac and mp3 files and I need to have everything to be in mp3 format for use in the car.

I like to to convert the flac files only while syncing and not the mp3 files. When I check the option "Bei Bedarf konvertieren" (sorry, I use the german version, don't know the right term in english...) as opposed to "always convert", I still get flac files on my stick... What would happen to my mp3 files when using the "always convert" option? I don't want my mp3's to be converted again...

Thanks for your help

Klaus

In the handheld settings you can define what filetyes are supported by your handheld.  Or in your case what filetypes you want put on the stick.

It defaults to * (all types) for a usb stick so you'll need to change this to mp3 to only get mp3 files onto your stick.

With the stick installed, go to Tools\Options\Handheld, select the USB stick from the list of handhelds then under Files, Paths & More look for "Supported Types"
