Title: installation forcing me to do it in program files (x86) is this correct?
Post by: jhermosillo on September 28, 2011, 12:17:05 am
When I install MC 16 I don't have the option to choose where to install it, by default uses the Program Files (x86) and when I run the program the process states that Media Center 15.exe*32 is running, I suppose it is running as a 32bit program, and as far as I know this may be running as a 64bit. My So is Windows 7 64Bit,

Thanks for your help

John

Yes, this is correct. It's a 32-bit application.

If you do a fresh install and pick 'Custom' instead of 'Express', you can pick the install path.  An upgrade install (one point version over another) doesn't offer an install path since the program is already installed.

For example, I install in C:\Applications at home, because old habits die hard.

Thanks Matt. I uninstalled and then re-installed and worked well.
