Title: Live Television refresh rate change
Post by: Z0001 on October 09, 2011, 12:40:27 am
Hi

In Australia we have DVB-T tuners and signals at 50Hz. I just tried to tune in with MC16, and while it does tune picture is a bit skippy and out of sync with audio on some channels.

I noticed that the refresh rate was not changed from my default 60Hz to teh 50Hz I need. Is there any way for me to configure this in Options? I notice WMC does let me select a refresh rate during set up.

Also I have a quad tuner. Would i need to tune all 4 devices?

Many thanks

Similar enquiry in respect of all "Television" and streamed content:

I am so impressed with the Blu ray playback. Quality is fantastic, better than my $1400 Panasonic Blu ray/twin tuner combo box, better than TMT5. After I discovered the rudimentary "disc menu" of chapters I was very happy!

Does Live Television use all the same video processing as Blu ray and DVD and will my selections in Options>Video apply to Live Television as well file Baedeker media?

Cheers

Yes, it would be nice if MC could do this for non-pre-recorded stuff like live streams and tv.

Even setting MadVR to autochange refresh rate doesn't work for me in this scenario. Must be invoking the graph-building in a different way to normal play for these live media.

Fingers crossed for MC17 to do this!

It isn't so much of an issue for me now since I have my desktop rate at 50Hz which is perfect for live tv. I never get time to watch 'live' podcasts at the moment, so I have MC download them (where the refresh rate does change automatically when playing back the recorded casts),
