Anyone have any experience eliminating this unexpected crash. At the moment, I cannot seem to get MC to run more than 10 or 11 hours without crashing.
This is running on a new little netbook, Windows 7, with all the virus software and other crud removed. The only software on it besides MC is a VNC server and BitRemote, both of which have been disabled and even removed without having any effect on the problem.
Version 16.0.179, fresh install, fresh license.
Help?

There is a link called "Stability" in my signature.
MC has logging.
It may be a hardware problem.

I read the stability and weird problems pages before I posted, but thanks for pointing to them again, they make a lot of sense.
I just turned on logging, so when it re-occurs, I will post those results.
It is quite possibly hardware, I just wish it would give me hint of what hardware is doing it. :) This results in a Windows Dialog box saying the program has stopped running and asks if I want to look for a solution on the Internet or just close the program. It isn't a blue screen and doesn't seem to affect anything else on the computer.

I saw your post on ComputerAudiophile. Did you solve this?

16.0.181 is on the download page.

Nope, with 16 never got it to run continuously for more than a day.
Version 17 seems to be working better though, and the guys on CA pointed out the "server" mode which helped a lot. Going to load it on a fresh Windows 7 x64 system tomorrow, and see if 17 will be stable enough here. Might even try to use it as Media Center PC. Merry Christmas!

If it happens again, look for "crash" in the previous log (under Help).
