Title: Red October HQ is Stunning

I've been away for a while, so please forgive my "fresh perspective"--I'm sure this has already been discussed and praised to bits. 

I recently fired up Red October HQ on some VERY low quality SD files.  Some were even two or three generations removed from the source.  I was amazed at how good these movies looked, even when I splashed these SD movies across 1920x1080. 

The filmic LUT, the grain, the uprez post filters--somebody's really been doing their homework here!

My hat's off to the JRiver crew, although I wasn't wearin a hat anyway.

MIster we could use a man like Michael Dukakis again.

Ain't necessarily "back", since I've been periodically lurking anyway.  Just hoping JRiver will help me figure out my TV options in this brave new series of tubes.

And I really meant it about RO HQ.  I beginning to think you guys can do anything.
