Title: Accessing songs when browsing in standard view with album thumbnails
Post by: lostvibrations on October 12, 2011, 11:02:29 am
I like the "album thumbnails" view in standard view, where you can scroll through all of your albums by cover. However, when I double-click on one to browse the tracks, the whole album starts playing instead. Is there a way to get JRiver to show the tracks as above instead of playing the whole album?

Thanks

You could change the view scheme type to Categories. Right-click on your view scheme > Customize View > View As > Dropdown Menu > Categories. Add "Album" to the "Show Categories In This Order" list.
This is a whole other view scheme type though, so you lose the ability to use panes, for example.

The other option available is to right-click on an album tile then Locate > Album. This is what I normally do for view schemes where I use album thumbnails, if I want access to individual files.

Here are some old screenshots of "gategories" views: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=44356. My instructions in that thread are for MC12. They are not exactly correct for MC16, but you can create the pictured views.
