Title: Streaming Blu Ray with TrueHD
Post by: toadleyb on October 19, 2011, 08:35:43 pm
I am able to stream blu ray rips to my laptop using webplay (by changing "play_flash" to "play_flash_simple" in the url).  However I get nothing but static since they are ripped with lossless audio.  Is there a way to set this up to convert the Dolby TrueHD or DTS-MA to a format that will play on my laptop or tablet?

I have already posted in another thread about the "play_flash" issue if you have any suggestions on that it is here;

Thanks

Do the videos play on the server with audio?  Make sure bitstreaming is off, so the server machine is doing the decoding.

Thanks.

I actually have the server set up with ffdshow audio decoder so I could bitstream to my receiver. I could not get it to bitstream without it.

That may be the problem.  Could you switch the server to Red October Standard and try again?

Just got home from work so I haven't had a chance to play.  I did install Media Center on my laptop this morning and I was able to play the movies fine via the Library Server.
