Title: Media server write failure tc/p
Post by: Glen on March 28, 2003, 03:53:13 am
Every once in a while, but more often than I would like, I am getting a Tc/p write error from MS and the client machine will hang up on a bit of the song that was playing and just sit there repeating over and over this same bit of song left in the buffer.
The network is wireless and signal etc. are all in the excellent range. The client is only a p233 so I am not sure about system overhead while MJ is playing and how much there is left to devote to MJ and the network connection. How many times does MS send a packet to the client before it decides that there ain't nobody home? Are there any other things that I may try, that I forgot about or just plain do not know?
Most of the time I can start the system and walk away and it will still be merrily playing when I get back, but I can not rely on it. Yet.
Any thoughts,
Glen
