HELP!
I just purchased MJ8 license to upgrade from MJ7.2 & 6.x license. When I install MJ8 and then try to double click license I downloaded, I get application error with message:
Instruction at "0x00000000" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program.
I've tried to restore license from inside MJ8 and also without MJ8 running but no luck either way.

Which version of MJ8?

could this be because he may have only installed the update and not the full version, then the update?

i think gateley wants to know the full version number like "8.0.278" or what ever you have loaded
-
We think it is an earlier version of 8.0.
-
Better - but not quite there yet. Just tried a new reinstall so I can get better info about what I have now.
1. uninstalled MJ - complete
2. installed 8.0.272
3. update to 8.0.278
4. install license - did much better at this point and no longer get the Windows error message I had before, but now I get a MJ error message:
Error installing Media Jukebox license: Failed extracting license from file.

try a restore (from https://rover.jriver.com/cgi-bin/restore.cgi) and if that doesn't work, send me your name via email to gateley@jriver.com, and I'll see what's going on.
