For whatever reason, I cannot get vobsub subtitles to load automatically using the built-in subtitle filter when the subtitles exist in a separate file (same path, same name). So, for a few video types, I have chosen to load the external directvobsub filter. The filter does load as expected when playing the video, and the subtitles can indeed be switched with the filter, but the subtitles cannot be switched in theater mode using JRiver's subtitle controls using the remote control. Is this to be expected? Or, do I need to load a special splitter?
