My first computer course in computer programming in distant 1982 was "The Programming Language C". Although I never became a real programmer as I shifted towards system admin and script programming, I well remember all those struggles understanding the awkward concept of pointers...

Not unnoticed by everyone.

John McCarthy, father of Lisp and coiner of the term Artificial Intelligence, also died recently.

Ritchie was truly a trailblazer and I'd guess will be remembered as such, at least in Computer Science circles..
