Live TV starts out smooth with good audio. Same when going to Time Shifting to sync audio. After awhile - 5 minutes or so the video starts to get jerky. It gets worse as time goes on. After about 10 or 15 minutes the audio gets broken and it too gets worse with time.
If I go back to no time shifting after being there a few minutes it seems better. But it then gets worse and worse too.
We have a fairly fast quad core CPU and Asus 550 video card. Tuner is HDPVR. Above is using RO Standard.
Playback of TV recordings and other video is fine.
If you want logs or any other info please let me know. I think the log might get quite long because I have to wait awhile for this to happen.
Thanks,
Rod

Bump.
Just in case it's not obvious from the first post, live TV is now unusable for us.
Thanks,

I do get lip synch problem when not running time-shifting. In time-shifting mode I have not seen any problems. I just ran a test. It has been running for 17 minutes without any problems.

Hi Yaobing,
Yes all along we have audio/video sync problems when not time shifting. But I'm not referring to that.
After a few minutes the video gets jerky (studder?) Then the audio actually gets interrupted along with the jerky video. That's what I meant with "Broken" audio. It happens in both Time Shifted and non Time Shifted. And keeps getting worse with time.
This makes Live TV totally unusable!
I'm not sure what to do with the Filter graphs you posted.
I would sure appreciate it if a troubleshooting process could get started. Just let me know what I can do from this end please.
Thanks,
Rod

For starter, right-click while TV is playing, and choose DirectShow filters > Copy graph info to clipboard. Then paste it in your post here.

I do get lip synch problem when not running time-shifting.
How do you disable time-shifting? I thought this option was removed a while back. I can't find a way to disable it anymore.

Rod uses analog TV. Analog has always started in non-time-shifting mode. I am going to add option to start in time-shifting mode.
You can only start digital TV in time-shifting mode. After starting you can still cancel time-shifting using right-click menu.

Right, thanks.

Well, this is a little like taking your car in to the mechanic and it then runs perfectly. That's what Live TV did this afternoon! It had been consistently getting jerky after just a few minutes and now it's fine.
Since nothing was done to fix it most likely it will act up again. When it does I'll be sure to get the filter graph for you.
Thanks for trying to help. Or wait a minute Yaobing - you used your remote powers and did fix it!!!

It's possible that a background process (virus checker, for example) caused the problem.

I recently added the Hauppauge Colossus to my server to allow us to watch DirecTV through Media Center. I believe this is considered an analog signal. I am seeing the same stuttering audio after a few minutes of watching live tv. I am not seeing it at all on my other OTA tuners (which are digital). I tried pausing and restarting. The sound restarted right away, but the picture was frozen for a while and took a few minutes to catch up with the audio. After that the stuttering was gone.
This is with 17.0.38.
