Title: Remember Playback Position.
Post by: X82 on November 18, 2011, 07:53:27 am
First, I am sorry if this has come up before. I did search.
I have a list of about 1000mp3's which I want to remember the position there were last played in.
Can it be done?

I tried making then genre of podcast or audio book but it made no difference.

Set the 'Use Bookmarking' field to 'Yes' for those files.

You can do this by in-place editing in a list after showing the 'Use Bookmarking' column or by using the Tag Action Window.

Amazing how simple it is, thank you.
One final thing, is it possible to have MC16 automatically do this to certain files which meet certain rules?
Daily I import mp3's which I want bookmarked.

With v17, you can configure tags that get applied to files imported from certain folders.

Great stuff, thanks. And one final thing, if I download MC17 beta to use this, will it cause trouble with my license? I paid for an upgrade yesterday from 12 to 16.

If you purchased yesterday, you received an MC17 license.  It works with both MC16 and MC17.

Just installed 17. How do I go about setting up this autotag feature?
