I have not used MC to rip any CD/DVD, but now i'm interested and getting error message: Failed to Rip.
I'm trying to rip a blu-ray DVD. Does MC17 actually rip? If so, am I missing an encoder I'm not aware of.
It doesn't give any reason, just that it failed. I downloaded a free SW trial (Pavtube) works find, but would rather use MC17 if it can perform the function.
The Blu-Ray plays fine, just can't rip.

Are you using ANYDVD HD to read the disc? Try updating it.

No I'm not using AnyDVD HD... I did see the trial...
I was under the impression MC had it's own Rip function. As I said I don't do a lot of ripping...
I inserted the Blu-Ray it said do you want to play or rip, I selected Rip... I guess the question is , what does AnyDVD have to do with anything?
Thanks!!!

Try a Google search for information about AnyDVD, etc.
MC just copies the files, but they aren't readable without special software that can read the disc.

AnyDVD HD removes the copy protection.
