Title: can't find library server

Giving MC 16 a test drive. for the library server isn't it File\library\search for library servers?  That option is not there. It is in MC13

Library servers on your LAN will appear automatically under Playing Now > Playing from in the tree.  You can also manually add a server from the same location.

Why does MC 13 find my network and MC 16 can't?

Make sure you're running the same build on both sides.  Then take a look at "Media Network" on our wiki.  Use the Access Key to connect. 

If that doesn't work, a firewall could be blocking something.

Make sure you are not running the Library Server or Media Server from MC13.

Almost there. Laptop finds PC. But I want to load, in MC16, the library of MC 13. I can only find zip files in Library Backups, that doesn't work.

The client and server need to be the same version.  You can't use MC16 as a client with MC13 on the server.

I am at my main PC, not laptop. Both have MC 16 and see each other.

I think I am misunderstanding something, MC 16 at the PC has all my music loaded (laptop sees it) but not the view schemes of MC 13. Do I have to recreate them?

Probably.  From MC15 on, most of your settings will transfer when you upgrade.
